cleatskin

I hinted about these a few weeks ago when they first arrived, right before we started this madness I call soccer. Well now we have been back in school for 3 weeks, and have had practice every night for 3 weeks as well. The team has settled into a nice routine, we now have team practice 2 nights a week, and goalie training 1 night a week.

Our son attends all three nights, because a good goalie also has good foot skills, and can receive and pass the ball with their team mates.

During the past three weeks we have also had many many rainy days. This is not uncommon here in Florida, after all it IS the rainy season right now. We tend to see some sort of rain every day this time of the year. We have two seperate fields we travel to depending on the day of the week. One has dirt parking and grass everywhere. The other is the main pitch, and has sidewalks, pavilions, parks and paved drives and parking. The CleatSkins have been a god send for getting to a from the field quickly, on time, and ready to begin. Now I don’t have to remind him to have his soccer slippers (although they still travel with us too), and when we arrive he slips off the CleatSkins and is off and running. (literally)

They are also fantastic when weather pushes in during a practice, and they have to grab their gear and clear the pitch in a hurry. No more worry about his cleats getting torn up on the sidewalks. No more wondering if he has created a bur that could cause a Ref to not allow him to wear his new cleats in a game. This is fantastic, because there is nothing worse than a GROWING boy getting new gear and then a Ref saying that can not wear them because the child ran across a sidewalk and caused a bur to form on their cleat. Gear is just to expensive to risk this.

Everyone on the team is highly jealous of his Skins, and ask me where he got them from, so I believe they are an all around hit here. I have some photos to edit down in size, and need to get the goalies words on how he likes them ( I know he does, but want to qote) so be on the look out for his thoughts and pictures of the CleatSkins in action.

What a great product! I am passing it on to DH who is entering the realm of coaching DD’s (5yo) soccer team and a few other moms/dads of big soccer kids! Thanks for sharing!
